Whether you're planning a romantic weekend away or a few quiet days in the Scenic Rim, here are some of the things guests most often want to know before arriving at Hilltop Haven. Please contact us if you have any further questions.
THE STAY
How many guests can stay at Hilltop Haven?
Hilltop Haven is designed exclusively for two guests. It’s a private one-bedroom cabin created for couples and friends and those looking for a peaceful escape.
Is Hilltop Haven completely private?
Yes. The cabin is privately situated on our working cattle farm, giving you your own peaceful space surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. There is also private access to the creek if guests fancy a dip or a picnic by the water.
Are dogs allowed?
Hilltop Haven is listed as not pet friendly, however, we may be able to accommodate a dog by prior arrangement. Please contact us before booking to discuss this.
Dogs are not permitted inside the cabin and must stay outside on the deck.
Please note that the property is not fully fenced to contain pets. The fencing around the cabin is designed to keep the farm's cattle out rather than to keep dogs in, so guests bringing a dog will need to bring their own appropriate tethering/containment equipment and ensure their dog is safely supervised at all times.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am.

ARRIVING AT HILLTOP HAVEN
What is the driveway like?
Hilltop Haven is accessed via a steep 300m gravel driveway.
Due to the gradient and surface, the driveway is not suitable for low-clearance vehicles. We strongly recommend arriving in an AWD or 4WD, particularly after rain.
Please take this into consideration when choosing your vehicle for your stay.
Is Hilltop Haven easy to find?
You'll receive detailed directions and arrival information before your stay to help you find the property easily. Hilltop Haven is located about 27 minutes from Beaudesert township so we recommend downloading the map/ looking at the map prior to leaving town in case of limited phone range.
THE CABIN
Is there heating and cooling?
Yes. There is an air-conditioning unit in the kitchen/ living area and a ceiling fan in the bedroom.
Is there mobile phone reception?
Yes. Telstra and Vodafone generally have good reception at Hilltop Haven. Optus coverage can be patchy.
Is there Wi-Fi or TV?
There is no Wi-Fi or TV at the cabin. Hilltop Haven is designed to encourage a slower, more technology-free stay — think books, long baths, time on the deck, fires and enjoying the view instead.
You're welcome to bring your own devices if you'd like, and mobile reception is available through Telstra and Vodafone.
Is there a hot water for the outdoor baths?
Yes. There is both a hot and cold tap for the outdoor baths. They're one of our favourite places to slow down — whether you're soaking in the afternoon or looking up at the stars after dark.
FOOD & SUPPLIES
Do I need to bring food with me?
We recommend bringing your main groceries with you before arriving at Hilltop Haven. The cabin is around 27 minutes from Beaudesert, so having everything you need on hand means you can settle in and enjoy your stay without needing to make trips back into town.
We provide a selection of kitchen staples to help you get started, including eggs, butter, cooking oil, coffee pods and sugar.
If you'd rather head out and explore, there are also some wonderful local cafés, farms, wineries and places to eat throughout the Scenic Rim. We've put together some of our favourites in our Explore guide and are always happy to share recommendations.
THE FARM & SURROUNDINGS
Is Hilltop Haven on a working farm?
Yes. Hilltop Haven is located on a working cattle farm, surrounded by open paddocks and rolling countryside.
You may see cattle and experience some of the everyday sights and sounds of farm life during your stay.
Can we explore the property?
We ask that guests stick to the designated walking tracks shown on the track map in the guest manual.
From the cabin, you can follow the track further up the property to a lookout point overlooking the surrounding landscape, or head down 500m towards the creek across the road. The creek area is private and available exclusively for Hilltop Haven guests to enjoy.
Please be mindful that this is a working cattle farm, and some areas of the property are reserved for farm operations and are not accessible to guests.
What is there to do nearby?
There's plenty to explore throughout the Scenic Rim, from rainforest walks and waterfalls to local farms, cafés, wineries and country experiences.

Yes. You can check availability and book your stay directly through our website.
What happens after I book?
Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive everything you need for your stay, including arrival information and directions to Hilltop Haven.

Is there anything I should know before booking?
Hilltop Haven is a peaceful rural retreat, and part of its charm is being surrounded by nature and farm country.
Please be aware that the property is accessed via a steep 300m gravel driveway, and low-clearance vehicles are not suitable. An AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended.
